Bishop Roosevelt Butler, Jr.
and First Lady Rita A. Butler
What can be said about these two wonderful people of God?
They are two of God's chosen vessels called out to help usher
God's people into the kingdom of heaven. February 22, 2005 will mark 30 years of commitment
in marriage. They are the parents of three daughters, Deidra, Toray and Lajuana. Lajuana, the
eldest daughter is married to Michael and together they have two children, Jaden and Gabrielle.
There are many things that could be said about the Butlers,
but one of greatest things that could be said is that they actually live what they preach.
Bishop Roosevelt Butler, Jr.
His Flow
One of the most prolific men of God for this hour, Bishop Butler
is a unique man who knows his calling. Not veering from the course that God put him on, the callings
that are most evident on him are that of pastor and prophet. Though he is gifted to operate in all
facets of the five-fold ministry, it is readily evident that his preeminent calling is that of a
pastor. A pastor who holds a prophet mantle passed on from his former Pastor, the late Bishop Joe G.
Sykes, Bishop Butler often uses this gift for the edification of the saints and to God's glory.
His Style
When it comes to preaching, Bishop Butler is unique. The proponent of
the moving of the Holy Spirit, more often than none, Bishop stands up to deliver a sermon without
notes or an outline, never to repeat the same exact sermon. Relying totally upon the Spirit, he
always speaks a timely prophetic Word that ministers greatly to his listeners by just sharing the
plain simple truth of God as God reveals it to him for that appointed time.
